Myles B. Caggins III is a seasoned public relations executive—a words warrior—with nearly three decades of national security leadership and communication experience.  From military posts, combat zones, inside the Pentagon, and the White House, he has led communication strategy for some of the most challenging issues of the past decade.  He resides in Manhattan, New York.

His company, Words Warriors LLC, provides specialized language and translation services, public relations strategy, executive communication coaching, and business consulting in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region.  Words Warriors has helped government, corporate, and non-profit clients connect and win across cultures.

Myles is a retired U.S. Army colonel.  He served three year-long combat tours in Iraq, most recently as spokesman for the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria where he led a multinational communication team representing 78 nations.  He earned the Combat Action Badge and Presidential Service Badge, among other military decorations.

He is a senior non-resident fellow at the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy and provides media commentary on international affairs.

His life is dedicated to service. In 2016, Hampton University named him Mentor of the Year.  He is in the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge HBCU trivia tournament Hall of Fame and continues to volunteer with students. In addition to IAVA, he serves on non-profit boards for the Military Officers Association of America, Youthcast Media Group, Kurdish Cultural Center of New York, and the Advisory Board for Hampton University’s Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications.

Myles earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Hampton University; and a master’s in public relations from Georgetown University. He completed Harvard Kennedy School’s year-long National Security Fellows program in 2018.

His personal network is multidisciplinary, multiethnic, and multinational; he is a Life Member in the Council on Foreign Relations, National Press Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Association of Language Companies, and other organizations.  He likes Texas brisket, Wordle, and is inspired by the Bible.
