Policy Analyst

At IAVA: Cameron joined IAVA as the Policy Analyst in August of 2026. As the Policy Analyst, Cameron Russell is the primary point of contact for the Senate to drive positive policy outputs that produce positive results for veterans across the country.

Professional Background: Cameron served in the Army National Guard from 2016 to 2020 as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst. Following his service Cameron received a bachelor’s in political science with a minor in public policy from Georgia Southern University. After earning his degree Cameron interned for the House Veterans Affairs Committee under Representative Mark Takano before taking a full-time role with Senator Jon Ossoff as his Executive Assistant and then as a Staff Assistant and Junior Legislative Correspondent.
