Michael Hoffman

Board Member

Michael Hoffman is a U.S. Navy veteran, attorney, and advocate whose career has been defined by service — first to his country, and now to his fellow veterans and injured clients. As a combat veteran who faced the VA system himself, Michael brings firsthand understanding, tenacity, and empathy to every case he takes on.

His military journey began as part of the F/A-18 Hornet Squadron VFA-192 aboard the USS Kitty Hawk in Japan, where he quickly established himself as a leader known for precision and dedication. Michael later deployed to Afghanistan under the Individual Augmentee Program, serving as the Combat Master Driver for U.S. Forces — a critical role that demanded both tactical skill and resilience under pressure. His exemplary service earned him recognition as “Sailor of the Year,” a testament to his integrity, leadership, and commitment to excellence.

Following his military service, Michael pursued higher education with the same discipline that defined his time in uniform. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida and went on to earn both his Juris Doctor and LL.M. in Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago — graduating with honors.

Today, Michael leads the Veterans Disability Department at Werner, Hoffman, Greig & Garcia, where he represents servicemembers and veterans nationwide in their disability claims and appeals before the VA. His deep understanding of the system, paired with his personal experience as a disabled combat veteran, allows him to fight strategically and effectively for those who’ve served.

In addition to his veterans’ advocacy, Michael also represents clients in personal injury and Social Security Disability cases. Whether helping a veteran secure long-overdue benefits, or fighting for someone injured through no fault of their own, he is driven by a single mission — ensuring his clients receive the justice and compensation they deserve.

A proud veteran, seasoned attorney, and relentless advocate, Michael Hoffman continues to embody the principles of service, honor, and perseverance that defined his military career — now in the pursuit of justice for others.
