At IAVA: Kameron Smith joined the IAVA team as Social Media Manager in October of 2025. As the Social Media Manager at Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), Kameron leads efforts to amplify the organization’s mission through strategic storytelling, digital engagement, and community-driven content. With a strong background in veteran advocacy and communications, Kameron is dedicated to ensuring that the voices and experiences of veterans are represented, respected, and shared across platforms that reach both military and civilian audiences.

Professional Background: Kameron is a veteran that served 7 years in the United State Air Force as an Aircraft Armament Systems Craftsman. Following his service, he obtained his Bachelor’s in Journalism at American University. Kameron has built his career around connecting people through authentic storytelling and purpose-driven communication. His work focused on empowering emerging veteran leaders, strengthening community engagement, and elevating awareness of veteran achievements. Kameron’s experience spans community relations, event management, digital communication strategy, and content creation, all rooted in a deep commitment to service and inclusion.
