Key Provisions for Vets Health Care in National Defense Authorization

Today, the House of Representatives will be voting on the 2011 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).  This bill will determine what programs the Department of Defense will undertake in the next year. IAVA has been hard at work combing through the 170 amendments to this critical bill.  If passed, these amendments have the potential to greatly improve the services and lives of veterans and their families. IAVA, Sen. Gillibrand Unveil Memorial Day Cultural Coalition

With families across New York City set to honor America’s veterans and United States Armed Forces this upcoming Memorial Day Weekend, IAVA joined U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) on Monday to announce that a coalition of over 50 museums, historic sites and cultural institutions from all five boroughs will grant free admission throughout the holiday weekend for all active duty service members and veterans in a special tribute to the men and women who have so bravely defended our country.
