Background: Hether (Washington, D.C.) is a 32-year-old Marine Corps veteran from Michigan and currently resides in Washington, DC. Serving veterans has become her life’s work. After active duty, she studied political science and communications then took time to develop that knowledge, her skill sets and her passion for service to work on behalf of veterans. She works toward increasing access and understanding of resources, and lowering barriers veterans are facing in their lives. Her hobbies include lifting veterans’ voices to enact positive, lasting change, and building strategic relationships with national, state and civic leaders, resources and organizations for veterans.
