WATCH: A Different Kind of Storm

A second storm is about to hit Washington, D.C. The first one left behind 20 inches of snow, but this one will leave an impact on the lives of millions of veterans. This week, dozens of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans from across the country are in Washington for IAVA's 5th Annual Storm the Hill trip. These vets are the best of their generation - smart, squared-away, and committed. And they need your support.

If we fought for our country overseas, should we have to continue fighting when we come home? I just got back from my fourth deployment with the Marine Corps since September 11th, 2001. Time after time, I've heard horror stories from fellow veterans trying to cut through the red tape of the VA's disability claims process, and waiting for months, even years, just to find out what benefits they're eligible for.


2010 Legislative Agenda Introduces IAVA’s Annual Storm the Hill Campaign

Today, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the nation’s first and largest non-partisan organization representing veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, released its 2010 Legislative Agenda, a roadmap for Congress to address new veterans’ issues in the coming year. The agenda describes the issues IAVA will bring to Congress during its annual Storm the Hill trip in Washington, D.C. from February 6th – 12th.
