Veterans’ issues get the attention they need only when our collective voices are heard by policy makers. So at least once a year, we “CALL IN THE CAVALRY”!
Overview
IAVA’s fight for veterans persists, even when Congress can’t agree on much else! Our legacy of winning is proof that calling in reinforcements pays off!
Since its inception, IAVA’s member advocates have been building a post-9/11 veteran leadership movement. Known by various names over the years — “Storm the Hill”, “All-Star Advocacy Fly-In”, and more — this movement continues to grow in size and impact. Cavalry Week represents the groundswell evolution of veteran voices emerging as a leading force in our national discourse.
There is still much to be done to support post-9/11 veterans, and IAVA’s Cavalry Week serves to keep the momentum going on the issues that matter most to our veteran members.
