National Call Center for Homeless Veterans

Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness — and their family members, friends and supporters — can make the call to or chat online with the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans, where trained counselors are ready to talk confidentially 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)

Through the SSVF Program, VA supportive services grants have been awarded to selected private non-profit organizations and consumer cooperatives that will assist very low-income Veteran families residing in or transitioning to permanent housing. These grants provide a range of supportive services to eligible Veteran families that are designed to promote housing stability.

VA Supportive Housing

HUD-VASH is a collaborative program between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and VA Supportive Housing. The program combines HUD housing vouchers with VA supportive services to help Veterans who are homeless and their families find and sustain permanent housing.

Through public housing authorities, HUD provides rental assistance vouchers for privately owned housing to Veterans who are eligible for VA health care services and are experiencing homelessness.
