IAVA CEO Responds to Sen. Tuberville’s Charade

“I hope his fellow senators continue to stand up to his BS.”

Washington, DC – The following is a statement from the CEO of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Allison Jaslow, on Sen. Tuberville’s backing down from most of his holds on military nominations.

“This is progress, but it is unacceptable that this stunt is STILL going to be going on.

One man’s personal political agenda is being put ahead of our national security and our troops. And I hope his fellow senators continue to stand up to his BS.

We all deserve better leadership from our elected leaders, and our troops and their families especially.

IAVA will continue to push for the additional confirmation holds to be removed, to ensure that a charade like this can never happen again, and to hold our elected officials accountable to not only veterans, but all Americans.”

IAVA is the voice for the post-9/11 veteran generation. With over 425,000 veterans and allies nationwide, IAVA is the leader in non-partisan veteran advocacy and public awareness. We drive historic impacts for veterans and IAVA’s programs are second to none.
