Shannon (Plymouth, MI) is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant with 24 years of service. Adams was a Munitions Systems Specialist his entire career and was predominately stationed Europe traveling to Bitburg AB, Germany, Hill AFB, Utah, RAF Upper Heyford, UK, Camp Darby, Italy and finishing his career at Aviano AB, Italy. Adams is a Desert Storm/Desert Shield, Operation Allied Force, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran. He has deployed to Turkey, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Iraq. Currently Adams lives in Plymouth, Michigan and works for the US Army as a civilian Logistician for the Army Project Office (APO), Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicles program in Warren, Michigan. He returned from a civilian deployment to Afghanistan for seven months in April 2015 and has been with IAVA as a leader since 2013. Also, Adams is a member of the Plymouth VFW post 6695 and an Adjunct Professor with Northwood University teaching Entrepreneurial Distribution Strategies and International Management. Adams has an Associates degree in Applied Science from the Community College of the Air Force, Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, University College in Human Resource Management and two Master’s Degrees from Lawrence Technological University; Master of Science in Global Operations and Project Management and a Master’s in Business Administration earned through the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
