At IAVA: Nick joined IAVA in March 2024 with the aim of expanding the organization’s reach through fundraising initiatives and assisting IAVA’s mission of empowering post-9/11 veterans.

Professional Background: After earning his BA in Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, Nick relocated to Washington, DC, where he embarked on a career in politics. He initially joined Congressman Seth Moulton’s campaign, “Moulton for Congress,” and its associated leadership PAC, “Serve America,” in December 2021. Starting as Congressman Moulton’s finance assistant and call time manager, Nick swiftly progressed to roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in his promotion to Finance Manager and subsequently Deputy National Finance Director.

Throughout the 2022 election cycle, Nick played a pivotal role in mobilizing nearly $3 million for Democrats nationwide through his work with Serve America. In October 2023, he transitioned to the role of Director of Development at With Honor, initially hired for a 6-month project. His successful tenure there ultimately paved the way for his current position at IAVA, where he continues to channel his expertise and passion into empowering post-9/11 veterans.

More about Nick: Growing up, Nick was immersed in a military environment as both of his parents served in the U.S. Air Force. Unlike many military families who frequently relocate, Nick’s childhood was relatively stable in terms of location. However, his upbringing instilled in him a deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by those in the military. Whether it was during his parents’ service or later in his professional life, where he continued to interact with military personnel, Nick felt a strong desire to give back to those who dedicated themselves to serving their country. This personal connection and sense of duty inspired him to pursue opportunities, such as his current role at IAVA, aimed at supporting and empowering veterans who have sacrificed so much for the nation.
