Tell us a little about you outside of the military:

• I am a father of two sons and active in my community in helping veterans to find the help they need. 

Why are you joining the IAVA Cavalry?

• I have been a member of IAVA for many years and believe in the work they have done. 

How did your military experience shape you to be the person you are today?

• It has shown me what it means to have to test the morals you believe you have, and in those moments find out who you really are.
• To fight for something greater than just oneself and the importance of serving both our countries and our communities. 

Which one of IAVA’s policy priorities do you believe is the most pressing? And why?

• Ensuring the VA continues to be prepared to deal with the evolving landscape of veteran’s issues. As I believe that encompasses all the big 6 issues. 

Which one of IAVA’s policy priorities do you have the strongest personal connection to? And why?

• My strongest personal connection has been to the suicide issue in the military. Coming from unit (2^nd battalion 7^th marines) that was one of the most impacted by the suicide epidemic. And losing over 30 members of my unit to suicide after returning home.
