Bea Davis

Title: Membership Services Manager

At IAVA: Bea Davis joined the Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans of America team in June of 2024. As the Membership Services Manager, Bea serves the organizational mission by assisting the Membership team with building, recruiting and training the IAVA Cavalry.

Bea has a particularly strong personal connection to IAVA’s policy priority of combating suicide among troops and veterans. When leaving the military, she faced her own struggles with depression. What saved her life was having a purpose, and that revolved heavily around working with veterans at her school. She believes it important to ensure veterans know they are valued and keeping them engaged.

Professional Background: Bea served eight and a half years as a Master-At-Arms Second Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy. She served remotely, at NIOC Sugar Grove, WV, on a boat (PCU Gerald R. Ford), and her last float was at NWS Yorktown, VA. As a fifth-generation sailor, she was right at home and took on several collateral duties including hosting National Night Out for the community.

She started college the day she went on terminal leave and earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration Degrees from Baldwin Wallace University.  While pursuing her studies, Bea joined the university’s Student Veteran Organization, first serving as the treasurer, then Vice-President, and ultimately the President. During her time, she has assisted others in the struggles of transition, built partnerships with local organizations, and facilitated programming to aid in the progression from student to professional.

In 2019, Bea was selected to attend the Student Veterans of America Leadership Institute and in January 2020, she was a top 10 finalist for Student Veteran of the Year.

More about Bea: Bea resides in Ohio with her two children, Harper & Calvin. In her free time, Bea enjoys food adventures, cooking, reading, music, and traveling.
