Read: RRRP Weekly Report July 28, 2017

In 2012, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America saw a need to create a safety net for transitioning veterans to connect them to the extensive, but often fragmented, network of support systems and resources available to them. The Rapid Response Referral Team has connected over 7,900 veterans to more than 9,200 resources. Unfortunately, the needs of today’s veterans remain high. unnamed (6)

RRRP client quote of the week:

“[VTM], has been a tremendous help to me. She has been warm, understanding and caring for me through my situation. [VTM] is very thorough on her research and guidance, honestly; she has been a blessing. Thank you from the very bottom of my soul.”

Trends:

75% of clients this week reached out looking for assistance with 3 or more focus areas (Disability claims, Financial Assistance, Housing and Mental Health). Clients  continue to reach out seeking employment services. Emergency financial assistance services inquiries were related to rent, vehicles, housing, home repairs and utilities. Clients also reached out seeking legal assistance and help accessing their VA benefits.
