Read: Daily Defend the GI Bill Update for June 8

Yesterday in the distant past that is the year 1995, Air Force Captain Scott O’Grady was rescued by U.S. Marines in Bosnia. O’Grady’s jet was shot down by Serbs while on patrol and he was forced to eject into enemy territory, evading the enemy for a week before finally being rescued. The film Behind Enemy Lines is loosely based on O’Grady’s story. A few highlights from #DefendTheGIBill yesterday:

Advocacy Team:

  • Met with the office of Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ-7).

  • Defend the GI Bill campaign grassroots IAVA member message total stands at 30,734.
