Rapid Response Referral Program (RRRP)

In December of 2012, IAVA launched the Rapid Response Referral Program (RRRP). A forerunner to IAVA’s Quick Reaction Force, RRRP was a high-tech, high-touch case management and referral services program. We called it RRRP because it ripped through the bureaucracy – it was help without the hassle.

IAVA Events

Storm the Hill

Storm the Hill is IAVA’s annual program where selected veterans, called “Stormers,” travel to Washington, DC, to meet with lawmakers and advocate for post-9/11 veterans’ issues. Through personal stories, they push for action on key concerns directly with representatives and senators.

Heroes Gala

IAVA’s Heroes Gala is an exciting evening of patriotism and inspiration. It’s our opportunity to recognize some amazing leaders who empower veterans. And it’s been an anticipated mainstay of Veterans Day events and culture for most of our 20 years!

Veterans Day Parade

IAVA marched in the NYC Veterans Day Parade with hundreds of local members.

#GoSilent on Memorial Day

Beginning an annual tradition, IAVA launched the first #GoSilent campaign on Memorial Day 2012, facilitating a shared, nationwide experience of a moment of silence honoring fallen service members.

Video Highlights

Veterans in Action

IAVA’s Deputy Policy Director Tom Tarantino testified on the President’s FY2013 Budget Request before the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee on Feb 29, 2012.

“Defend the New GI Bill”

The GI Bill is one of the most important ways our country says ‘thank you’ to veterans, and this crucial legislation is always under threat. IAVA produced this video to bring attention to how some schools are putting profits ahead of veterans’ education.
