Daniel outside of the military:

I live in Kentucky with my wife and three children. We enjoy exploring nature and doing activities such as hiking, fishing, and hunting. I am also a business owner of MotiveFate LLC and social media influencer inspiring others to live their dreams.

Daniel on joining the IAVA Cavalry:

I joined IAVA to be a voice for military, veterans, and their families. Not everyone is ready or able to share their story, but I am able to tell mine and help translate others experiences. If not me, then who?!

How the military experience affected Daniel’s personal growth:

My military experience shaped me into the leader I am today by giving me opportunities to prepare and work in many types of environments. I learned how teams functioned and what strategies were effective, which allowed me to conclude the best approaches to leadership. I then applied and adapted these strategies in real situation, continuously improving how I asses, develop, and lead teams.

IAVA’s policy priorities that are the most pressing:

Access to alternative therapies for veterans and military personnel are critical for supporting the physical and mental health of service members. GI benefits are also essential for proving veterans with education and career opportunities they have earned which will benefit the nation with more educated individuals. Finaly we have to safeguard our democracy in America to keep the wonderful freedoms we have here.

IAVA’s policy priorities with the strongest personal connection for Daniel:

Alternative therapies help me with my disabilities caused from my time in the military because the veterans healthcare system cannot help me anymore. As well as the GI Bill as I am currently using education benefits and seen firsthand the struggles myself and others had had accessing the benefits we earned.
