Adam outside of the military:

I am a coordinator for a youth running club. In the spring, we run a track & field season and in the fall we run a cross country season. I am a beekeeper. I enjoy gardening with my wife. I enjoy being outdoors.

It is time for me to step up and help the ones I have not helped. The state of the country today needs it.

How the military experience affected Adam’s personal growth:

Dedication to service is very important. I do that with the work I do with the local youth. I want to make that be larger.

IAVA’s policy priorities that are the most pressing:

Having the backs of women veterans is needed. I often was the outcast while in the military because I was not in the good ole boy club. I want to help those who may not have the full support of all and be that support.

IAVA’s policy priorities with the strongest personal connection for Adam:

When I was in Afghanistan, I tried to connect to the locals when I went to the shops on base. They helped us when we were over there. Not just outside of the fence but inside the fence too. They deserve our assistance.
