This week, IAVA leadership and member represented in Washington DC and in the media. IAVA was on the ground in DC to attend on behalf of the nation’s veterans the confirmation hearing of VA Secretary nominee, Dr. David Shulkin. We also stood up and raised our voices to ask President Trump to address the impacts of the temporary travel restrictions imposed on 7 majority-Muslim countries on allies of the US military. Despite a busy week in Washington, we also had the opportunity to contribute to coverage of both of these important topics. Below are just a few of the highlights.
