Read: Weekly RRRP Round-up February 8
IAVA’s Rapid Response Referral Program (RRRP) works with veterans and families across the nation providing critical support, guidance and connections to on the ground resources. RRRP is staffed by masters-level Veteran Transition Managers (VTMs) that work on the front lines every single day, ensuring our nation’s heroes and their families have the support they need and have earned. To date, RRRP has connected over 9,100 veterans and family members to more than 11,100 resources.
It’s been an incredibly busy week, as veteran needs remain high. RRRP continues to provide top notch services to clients while ensuring that the impact of our work is heard:
- RRRP produced our first ever yearly Impact Report providing a comprehensive overview of the tremendous impacts and outcomes our team accomplished in 2018. Check it out here.
- Client quote of the week:“I reached out for help with my rent and had no idea the amount of support I would receive for other areas of my life that I have been struggling with for years. Thank you.” Learn more by checking out RRRP’s latest Weekly Impact Report.
- RRRP’s Senior Veteran Transition Manager, Policy Liaison and VA Benefits Lead, Vadim Panasyuk wrote a powerful blog outlining the real life impacts that post 9/11 GI Bill transferability screw-ups have on veterans and families. RRRP has worked at least 40 cases involving failed/revoked transfer of education benefits. Each of these failed transfers resulted in upwards of $30,000 to $60,000 debts, predominantly for veteran’s dependents, causing significant and preventable hardship for the entire family. Check the blog out here.
