In the past year, we’ve all seen veterans used as political props and shields like never before. News headlines and speeches are focused on football players and parades, instead of on our brothers and sisters we’re losing to suicide, protecting our GI Bill and reforming the VA many of us count on. We’ve been thrust in the middle of political debates-and many politicians claim to speak for us.

But we can speak for ourselves. For over a decade, IAVA post-9/11 vets have stepped up to educate all Americans and elevate the national conversation. From your hometown, to Facebook, to the White House, our voices have driven policy and changed history. We’ve shown America veterans are not a charity, we’re an investment. And our quest to advocate for ourselves, our families and our fellow veterans has never been more critical.

So today, we have an important mission for you.

For a decade, IAVA’s Storm the Hill has been the tip of the spear for the veterans community on public awareness and national policy change. And it’s back this spring. It’ll also be activated this summer, fall and winter. Now, you’re invited to raise your voice and join the movement in 2018. And you can do from anywhere: from your living room to Washington, DC.

CHOOSE YOUR MISSION:

Mission 1: Join the Storm the Hill Digital Army

Mission 2: Host a Storm the Hill VetTogether in your hometown

Mission 3: Apply to join a quarterly Storm the Hill mission team in Washington DC (for Spring, you must be available to be in Washington, DC on March 4-7)

Throughout 2018, we’re continuing to fight for the non-partisan issues that have mattered to you most. We’re also deploying new advocacy campaigns to tackle the biggest emerging issues.

IAVA is leading the way, and bringing your voice to leaders in Washington-and nationwide. Don’t miss the chance to sign up today and make your voice heard.

Together, we’ll have each other’s backs-and change history.

Onward!
