Referral Partner Highlight: The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation
The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation was created to honor firefighter Stephen Siller who sacrificed his life to save others during the terrorist attacks in New York City on September 11, 2001. The foundation hosts an annual 5k run & walk series which retraces Stephen Siller’s last steps from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers on 9/11. This foundation provides support to families of first responders who lost their lives in the line of duty by setting up trust accounts and mortgage payoffs. They also assist our most seriously injured veterans by building mortgage free smart homes. IAVA is a proud participant of the Tunnel to Towers event and our staff often show their support for this wonderful foundation by volunteering and participating in their programming.
