RRRP client quote of the week:

“[VTM], has been a tremendous help to me. She has been warm, understanding and caring for me through my situation. [VTM] is very thorough on her research and guidance, honestly; she has been a blessing. Thank you from the very bottom of my soul.”

Trends:
Clients continue seeking assistance initiating the VA disability claims process. Education benefit issues this week include BAH and Voc Rehab payment delays and transferability inquiries. Clients are also seeking guidance on how to maximize their education benefits while attending online programs.  Substantial increase in emergency financial assistance needs over the last month, as many clients are struggling with basic need costs like rent, utilities, and vehicle repairs. Clients continue to seek  advocacy and assistance with their current MH providers in the VA system and many are seeking community MH resources. Clients seeking employment services are reaching out for career guidance, resume assistance, employment and small business loan resources. We’ve also had an increase in clients reporting that they are struggling to find employment due to underlying mental health issues.  Several clients reached out this week due to homelessness and identified mental health issues and underemployment as key factors impacting lack of housing.
