Trends:
RRRP processed 16 new cases and provided 39 new referrals for clients this week. Financial, employment, and suicide and mental health needs were the top areas clients sought support and assistance with. RRRP served two new clients at-risk of suicide and two new clients at-risk of homelessness. RRRP also received requests for help accessing community support. Clients continue to report a reduction in stress after working with RRRP’s Veteran Transition Managers.

Referral Partner Highlight: Salute, Inc.
Salute, Inc. provides emergency financial assistance to veterans and their families facing challenges which often arise post deployment and during the transition back to civilian life. In order to be eligible for assistance, the veteran has to have been deployed, served on active duty from 2013 to present, and needs to have at least a 50% VA service connected disability rating. Salute, Inc. assesses each veteran individually taking into account their current situation and needs and makes a determination on how to best intervene. Salute, Inc. helps those impacted by providing critical aid for rent/mortgage payments, vehicle related payments and repairs, phone, utility bills, groceries and other living expenses. Salute, Inc. also supports employment and education goals by providing financial assistance toward laptops, textbooks and tuition assistance. One of our most trusted and frequently utilized partners, Salute, Inc. has received 175 referrals from RRRP and has been able to provide vital and life changing emergency financial assistance to our clients by preventing eviction, utility shut-offs and car repossessions. This critical assistance is instrumental in helping our clients meet their basic needs and maintain financial stability during times of transition.
