Our Rapid Response Referral Program (RRRP) is in its second year of providing quality and comprehensive case management services to veterans in California, sending our vets in need to our trusted partners throughout the state. These organizations include PATH (People Assisting the Homeless), Operation Mend in Los Angeles, Valiant VA Claim Services, yoga instructors and a network of life coaches. More partners include real estate professionals working to help veterans in Orange County, home to the country’s third largest population of veterans, and Goodwill of Silicon Valley in the Bay Area.

Last week, RRRP took a road trip to CA and met with some of these partners hearing first-hand about the impact their efforts are making. Operation Mend is providing life-changing surgery and medical intervention to wounded vets and will be expanding its services to help heal psychological and brain injuries. Valiant VA is helping hundreds of vets file for disability claims with a personalized and therapeutic approach. We also met with a life coach in Orange County who is guiding veterans along their life/career path. It was so clear how passionate each of these programs and/or practitioners were about their work and their mission.

In the coming months, we’ll spend even more time on the ground in California to strengthen these partnerships ensuring the highest quality of service to veterans who contact us. Also, we will find more organizations digging in and doing the work to serve those who have served.
