IAVA’s Defend The GI Bill campaign continued yesterday by doing what IAVA does best—speaking truth to power. From meeting with House power brokers to discussions on Congress and VA issues, we stuck to our guns and stayed true to our principles. Some highlights from yesterday include:

Advocacy Team: 

• Participated in Minority Leader Pelosi’s (D-CA) Veterans Service Organization round table to discuss with her and other House Members VA reforms and IAVA priorities
• Gave TV interview to PBS Newshour
• Set-up meeting with the office of Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX-20)

Member Advocacy:

• Defend the GI Bill campaign grassroots IAVA member message total stands at 30,416.

We’re now on the tail end of the week, but we’re not losing steam on our fight to defend the GI Bill. We’re just getting warmed up!
