March 6, 2019 (Washington, DC) – MEDIA ADVISORY: IAVA members from across the country in Washington, DC for Storm the Hill will gather in front of the Department of Veterans Affairs at about 8:30am on International Women’s Day, showing their support for a gender-inclusive motto.

Support for women veterans is one of IAVA’s “Big 6” priorities. The current VA motto is outdated and excludes women. As a signal that the VA takes inclusion of women seriously, IAVA has long advocated for a change to the motto as a part of the She Who Borne The Battle campaign.
