Continues six week campaign to highlight priority issues

New York, NY – In the third week of its six-week campaign, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) is highlighting its legislative and reform goals for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

 As a leading veteran service organization, holding the VA accountable for the implementation of landmark legislation is one of IAVA’s top priorities.

“We are excited for the opportunity to work with Secretary Denis McDonough and the Biden administration to ensure access to quality VA services for veterans,” said Jeremy Butler, CEO for IAVA. “As the Secretary takes charge of the VA, IAVA will support his leadership to modernize the VA and implement important newly-enacted laws, including the Commander John Scott Hannon Mental Health Care Improvement Act and the Deborah Sampson Act.

IAVA is eager to work with the Biden Administration to advance the veteran community’s priorities. Specifically, IAVA will pursue:
