New York, NY – On Wednesday, June 9th, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) will partner with Leidos to host a Facebook Live event on veteran employment.
“Leidos is excited to join this event with IAVA to share our important offerings with the military and veteran communities,” said Alex Verhulst, Leidos Talent Acquisition Military Program Manager. “We look forward to working with IAVA to support veterans and military spouses as they pursue rewarding careers after military service.”
Executive Vice President Hannah Sinoway will be joined by IAVA board member and Senior Director of Business Management at Sfara, Inc., Karen Brasch and Leidos Talent Acquisition Military Program Manager, Alex Verhulst. This event will specifically highlight veteran transition and employment, IAVA’s Quick Reaction Force (QRF) program and Leidos career offerings.
“Preparing for life after service and helping veterans navigate transition related challenges has always been one of IAVA’s main focuses,” said Hannah Sinoway, Executive VP, Organization Strategy and Engagement for IAVA. “Our comprehensive care management and peer support program, the Quick Reaction Force, has helped thousands of veterans navigate the transition to civilian life and point them to the resources they need to succeed.”
“As a member of IAVA’s board of directors, I am honored to participate in this event and share insights and perspectives about veteran transition for veterans and military communities at large,” said Karen Brasch, IAVA board member and Senior Director of Business Management at Sfara, Inc. “And I’m excited to join this conversation with IAVA and Leidos to ensure that servicemembers and veterans have the valuable information they need to successfully transition into the civilian workforce. I got my post-Navy career started in a company like Leidos and was thankful for that opportunity. They understand and appreciate military service better than most commercial corporate companies and can really make the transition as smooth as possible.”
