Washington, DC – IAVA (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America) is taking an important step to improve our advocacy on behalf of the Post-9/11 generation of veterans by joining TikTok. TikTok enables our organization, and more importantly, our veteran members to effectively leverage their voices to drive important conversations in our national discourse and enact change.
“IAVA is dedicated to empowering veterans and ensuring their voices are heard. We believe that joining TikTok is critical to achieving that goal,” said Allison Jaslow, CEO of IAVA. “As the first digitally native national veterans organization, we have always driven online conversations. TikTok will allow us to share our message in a fun and engaging way, help us to elevate the stories of the best among us, and also enable us to raise awareness about the critical issues facing our community.”
Every month, 150 million Americans come to TikTok to create, entertain and learn, and veterans are an important part of the community. As the first major veteran service organization (VSO) to join the platform, IAVA’s presence on TikTok will allow us to bring a unique voice to the robust community of vets there.
