Washington, DC – The following is a statement from the CEO of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), Allison Jaslow, on the bipartisan passage of the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act in the U.S. Senate today:

“Despite the divisive time we’re living in, and despite a divided Congress, it’s good to see that our elected leaders can still come together to get the backs of our nation’s veterans and their caregivers,” said IAVA CEO and Iraq War veteran Allison Jaslow. “Partisan politics almost imperiled the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act, but in the end, our elected leaders in Washington did right by America’s veterans and passed this important piece of legislation in an overwhelmingly bipartisan fashion. We look forward to President Biden now signing it into law.”
