Calling Veteran Artists

In partnership with the Atherton Arts Foundation (AAF), IAVA will host our first annual Veteran Art Show and Reception, November 14th to 16th in Atherton, CA.

We’re putting out a call for artists whose work will be showcased at the event, and we’d love for you or someone you know to submit.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Submit photos of up to 10 pieces for consideration by October 24.
• Artwork can be any medium.
• Email submissions (photos of your work) to: iavamembership@iava.org
• Artists will be notified by November 3 with logistics for the show.

We’re looking for art from veterans of all generations, current service members, and their families. Whether your medium is painting, photography, woodwork, fiber arts, ceramics, or something else, we want to showcase it. If selected, you can sell your work at the event with no commission taken.

This is more than an art show. It’s a celebration of the creativity, passion, and voice of veterans and the IAVA community. Please share this opportunity with your fellow veterans, friends, and family members who may be interested in participating.

Even if you’re not submitting, we hope you’ll join us in Atherton, CA, in November to celebrate the artists in our community. In addition to the art show open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, we’ll be holding a reception on Friday as well as a community day featuring special events highlighting local veterans.

We are so excited to highlight the talents of veterans and their families outside of our service, and we hope you’ll be part of this special event.
