As we watch the film’s main character navigate reintegration, trauma, and what it means to restore tenderness in a culture shaped by firearms, a real-life community opportunity is created. American Solitaire has been sparking thoughtful, nonpartisan dialogue around the country about veteran wellbeing, mental health, and the cultural roots of gun safety.
Through screenings and community conversations, the film team & Picture Motion invite audiences everywhere to use the film to spark open discussion about veterans’ mental health, moral injury, and collective healing.
