IAVA Congratulates 2019 NYC Marathon Runners

New York, NY (November 4, 2019) — Today Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) congratulates its five marathon runners on finishing the New York City Marathon.

Together, these five runners raised over $27,000 for IAVA, and represented the post-9/11 generation of veterans as they ran the 26.2 mile course through New York City’s five boroughs. IAVA’s veteran and military family runners for the 2019 NYC Marathon were: Angelica Gomez, Frank Klug, Tom LaTorre, Jay Munoz, and John Toner. See more about each runner here.

“These incredible Americans showcase the best of what our generation of veterans is about: perseverance, commitment, and helping each other out,” said IAVA CEO Jeremy Butler. “We are so proud of them, and grateful for their efforts on behalf of IAVA.”
