Following WH Signing: IAVA Hosts SAV Act Reception at Willard Hotel

VA Secretary Bob McDonald to deliver remarks

WHAT: Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) will hold a reception at The Willard Hotel on Thursday at 2 p.m. to celebrate The Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention For American Veterans (SAV) Act being signed into law. The bill, spearheaded by IAVA, is named after a Marine Corps veteran who died by suicide in 2011. IAVA CEO and Founder Paul Rieckhoff and Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Robert McDonald will deliver remarks. Susan and Richard Selke, parents of Clay Hunt, and IAVA member veterans from across the country will also be present.
