Thursday at 2:15: IAVA Joins House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Jeff Miller For Introduction Of Historic Bill To Combat Veteran Suicide

WHAT: Following Thursday morning’s House Veterans Affairs Committee hearing on access to mental health care at the Department of Veterans Affairs (9:15 am at 334 Cannon House Office Building Washington, D.C), Chairman Jeff Miller (R-FL) will introduce the Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans Act (Clay Hunt SAV Act), significant legislation that will combat veteran suicide. The Chairman will be joined by Susan and Richard Selke, parents of Clay Hunt a U.S. Marine who died by suicide in 2011; Paul Rieckhoff, IAVA CEO and Founder; Rep. Tim Walz (D-Minn.); Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.); and veterans of the post-9/11 wars.
