Ryan Tomlinson

As Education Program Coordinator, Ryan is responsible for providing expert knowledge of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Improvements Act of 2010  (GI Bill) to be a prime resource for veterans and their families who currently utilize, or plan to utilize, the benefit.  Ryan builds partnerships and resources for student veterans and their families to experience a more efficient transition into a scholastic environment, and assists the legislative team with education policy issues affecting veterans. Prior to joining IAVA, Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Tennessee and Master of Public Policy from Rutgers University, all funded by the Post-9/11 GI Bill. Ryan is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served two combat tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
