Megan O'Connor

Megan has over 20 years in the Army, now serving in the Reserves. She enlisted as a medic and after completing Officer Candidate school became a Medical Service Corps and Civil Affairs Officer. She spent two years in Iraq from 2003-2005, first in Tikrit and then in Ramadi attached to the Marine Corps. In 2008 she was part of a State Department led, Provincial Reconstructive Team in Paktya Province, Afghanistan. Megan has a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine and lives in Northern California where her acupuncture practice focuses largely on veterans and service members. She was one of the original members of IAVA and participated in Storm The Hill in 2012. Megan is a leader and active member of several veteran service organizations advocating on behalf of veterans.
