Storm the Hill 2019 – Spring

Katie (Ingleside, IL) is from the Chicagoland area, but spent quite some time in Wisconsin. Katie has spent the past six years as a Navy Reservist and plans to transition out in April. She is currently a Petty Officer Second Class/E-5. Throughout her time in the Navy, Katie deployed to Djibouti, Africa and was attached to a joint task force. She is currently working full time on the Great Lakes Navy boot camp base as a Human Resources Specialist while pursuing a Bachelors in Human Resources management from Concordia – St. Paul. Katie is motivated and enjoys sharing her story, especially her experiences on deployment and post deployment. During the winter sports season, Katie coaches a Special Olympics basketball team, a true passion of Katie’s. Katie is a mother to two fantastic fur babies – a boxer and a husky.
