Cynthia Olson

As Chief Communications Officer, Cynthia is responsible for IAVA’s external communication strategy, brand and marketing development and overall constituent engagement. She has extensive experience in strategic communications and telling the stories of many of the world’s leading not-for-profit organizations, including the US Fund for UNICEF, the Nike Foundation for Girls, Planned Parenthood, and most recently, the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. Cynthia holds a Masters degree from the University of Edinburgh. She earned her Bachelor’s at George Mason University in Virginia, where she was raised as the daughter of a Navy veteran and sister of a Marine.
