As Field Associate Corey is responsible for the new and growing VetTogethers initiative, which encourages community-building through member-let monthly events. Corey is a true activist who upon graduation from St. John’s University began working on tenant advocacy for residents in Harlem living in rent stabilized and federally subsidized buildings. Corey continued his work of social service working under New York State Assemblyman Keith L.T. Wright meeting with various community leaders and organizations to identify concerns and covey the Assemblymen’s agenda. In his most recent role prior to IAVA Corey served as President of the West Harlem Club, focusing on community concerns and small business development in the West Harlem region.
