Veteran Transition Manager, Children & Families Lead
As a Veteran Transition Manager, Children & Families Lead, Ashley provides veterans and their families with comprehensive case management, advocacy and streamlined connections to on the ground support addressing a wide variety of needs, including: mental health, education, employment, homelessness, health, legal, financial and community support. She provides client-centered case management services and advocacy while empowering veterans and their families to reach their goals.
Prior to joining IAVA, Ashley facilitated individual and group counseling sessions with previously incarcerated individuals. In addition, Ashley has provided community support through food pantry assistance, employment services, and overall case management to at-risk for homelessness and criminal justice involved persons. Ashley earned her Master’s of Social Work degree and a certificate in Animal Assisted Social Work from University of Denver in 2016. She received her BS in Biology and Sociology from Stony Brook University in 2013.
