WATCH: IAVA Joins House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Mark Takano to Discuss Major Toxic Exposures Legislation

On Thursday, February 24, IAVA’s Jen Burch sat down with the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Takano to discuss the comprehensive burn pits/toxic exposure legislation, Honoring Our PACT Act. We discussed the differences between the various toxic exposure legislation and why the Honoring our PACT Act is the most impactful one to have passed for veterans. It establishes VA healthcare and disability benefits for those with toxic exposures, like from burn pits, and sets a new framework for establishing presumptive illnesses.
