Referral Partner Highlight: Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)
Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF) is a program funded through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) which provides services and support to low-income veterans and their families. Funding is provided to non-profit organizations and consumer cooperatives that assist veteran families through a multitude of supportive services to promote housing stability and overall sustainability. In addition to covering rental and utility costs, the SSVF program provides eligible veterans and families with comprehensive case management services which include health care services, daily living services, financial planning, transportation services, fiduciary and payee services, legal services, childcare services and housing counseling services. SSVF is a vital resource for veterans at risk of becoming homeless and intervenes to keep veterans and their families housed in every state across the nation. RRRP works closely with SSVF programs across the country on a regular basis and has referred over 580 veterans and families to this life changing program.
