Trends:
RRRP processed 17 new cases this week and provided 24 new referrals for clients. Financial assistance, suicide and mental health, and disability claims were the top areas clients sought support and assistance with. RRRP also received inquiries for community support and legal needs. RRRP served four new clients facing homelessness and four new female veterans. Clients continue to report a reduction in stress after working with RRRP’s Veteran Transition Managers.

Referral Partner Highlight: USA Cares
USA Cares is a non-profit organization that provides critical financial and advocacy assistance for post 9/11 veterans and their families. For veterans who have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) or who have experienced Military Sexual Trauma (MST) and have been approved for assistance, USA Cares covers the costs of basic expenses while the veteran undergoes treatment. USA Cares also provides career transition assistance to support veterans with employment, housing support assistance to prevent evictions and foreclosures, and additional emergency financial assistance when financial stress is related to military service. This program pays immediate, essential bills, including food and utility bills. USA Cares provides comprehensive assistance for post 9/11 veterans and their families and RRRP has connected nearly 150 clients to this amazing program.
