Read: IAVA’s Response to VA Budget Increase

Some good news for VA today–that’s generally in line with IAVA recommendations. It’s one of the few agencies to see a proposed increase in Trump’s new budget. Meanwhile, State, USIP, CPB, NASA and many others would be hit very hard with cuts. Those cuts will impact veterans–given the high percentage of our members that work in government.

But as we saw with the VA scandal and yearly increases by Obama, money isn’t the only problem at VA. It’s very much about leadership, systems reform and accountability.‬

See more in our new Policy Agenda out next week during Storm The Hill and in analysis to come and in media from me, Allison Jaslow and our outstanding DC team.

These are important times for our community, and our advocacy leadership will continue to be essential to millions.
