Watch: IAVA Presents 2012 Priorities Before Joint Hearing of Congress
Posted by Michelle McCarthy on March 21 2012

Today, IAVA's Deputy Policy Director Tom Tarantino will present IAVA's 2012 policy priorities before a joint hearing of the House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committees. In his testimony, Tom will outline the top issues facing our nation's newest veterans and their families, including:

    • Continuing to ensure that veterans are successful in the workforce.
    • Ensuring that veterans’ earned education benefits make them career-ready and provide quality job training.
    • Stemming the tide of veteran suicide.

IAVA’s 2012 Policy Agenda is a blueprint for addressing these issues head on, to ensure that every veteran has our country’s unwavering support from the moment they return home throughout the rest of their lives. Watch Tom's testimony live onine beginning at 10am EDT here. Read a copy of Tom's written testimony here.
