Today, IAVA's Deputy Policy Director Tom Tarantino will present IAVA's 2012 policy priorities before a joint hearing of the House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committees. In his testimony, Tom will outline the top issues facing our nation's newest veterans and their families, including:
- Continuing to ensure that veterans are successful in the workforce.
- Ensuring that veterans’ earned education benefits make them career-ready and provide quality job training.
- Stemming the tide of veteran suicide.
IAVA’s 2012 Policy Agenda is a blueprint for addressing these issues head on, to ensure that every veteran has our country’s unwavering support from the moment they return home throughout the rest of their lives.
