Vets Flock Together at Atlanta Falcons Game
November 22 2011

The day after IAVA Member Veterans marched in the Atlanta Veterans Day Parade, IAVA, Miller High Life, and the Atlanta Falcons brought together 90 new veterans and their families for a historic military appreciation day at the Georgia Dome. On the field, IAVA members participated in the traditional Falcons Flag Crew and enjoyed a pre-game tailgate party prior to kick-off in the ATL Lounge.

IAVA Takes the Field

The historic unfurling of the flag emblazoned with the Falcons’ logo is a long-standing tradition for Atlanta fans. Over 40 IAVA Members took the field to unroll the flag prior to kick-off. All were treated to an exclusive meet and greet with the Falcons cheerleaders, the opportunity to walk on and around the field, and to unroll the flag in front of a sold out stadium of 70,000 fans!

Over 50 IAVA members were also treated to a pre-game tailgate party before kick-off. Once the game began, they were ushered up to the exclusive ATL Lounge to watch the game from the best seats in the house with local Miller representatives, distributors, and members of the Falcons staff.

One veteran spoke excitedly about his experience. "Everything was absolutely outstanding," he said. "My wife and I had a great time and hope to be able to do something like this again in the future!  Keep bringing events to the Atlanta Area and we will keep applying!"

Even though the Falcons went yard for yard with the Saints, New Orleans took home the victory (26-23). But of course the biggest win of the day went to all the IAVA veterans as they were recognized for their service and honored for their sacrifices as part of a historic Veterans Day weekend.

Through the High Life program, IAVA provides its membership with an opportunity to experience premium events while connecting with other veterans in their communities.
