After kicking off IAVA’s new partnership with Lincoln Center at Midsummer Night Swing, IAVA members were invited to see the Paris Opera Ballet perform the classic and romantic story “Giselle” at Lincoln Center on Saturday, July 14.
Performed by the world-renown Paris Opera Ballet, “Giselle” has been called the consummate Romantic ballet, a mysterious, gentle, and melancholy story of innocence, betrayal and, ultimately, love. Additionally, “Giselle” is one of the great creations of the company’s history and marks the company’s return to New York City for the first time in 16 years.
The event also took place fast on the heels of IAVA’s kick off event with Lincoln Center on Thursday, July 12, during the organization’s popular Midsummer Night Swing series. In case you missed it, be sure to check out our success story recapping the event here.
Check out what some of our members had to say about the event!
"My wife and I loved it all. Lincoln Center was amazing and the show was very different from what we usually attend but nevertheless we enjoyed it greatly. We want to thank you guys for offering this opportunity to experience something new and amazing that we otherwise maybe would not have seen on our own."
"I can not say how much I enjoyed the Ballet.....It was my first time attending one, but I absolutely loved it... Lincoln Center was a great venue as well.... easy to get to, tons of parking and beautiful... Thank you again for the opportunity."
